It's certainly been an interesting year with Dave appearing in his first major motion picture: "Tenacious D: The Pick of Destiny" as the Devil himself.

This got me curious about how other movies might have turned out had Dave actually starred in them. You know, how you might actually not get too mad about paying full price for a ticket because the star of the film is someone you actually care about seeing.

I mean, let's face it. We've all seen his performance from the Andy Dick show, and I don't mind saying the man was totally robbed by the Academy (as usual). Those scenes in the Rye Coalition DVD? Timeless classics if you ask me. And of course, who could forget his short, but memorable performance in the There Is Nothing Left to Lose Promo Video where an inebriated Grohl announced to the world, "I was in Nirvana!" It literally brings tears to my eyes.

So, Mr. Grohl, as you turn 38 this year and as I try to honor you each year for your birthday by basically humiliating you through photoshop, (because I'm a firm believer in how teasing someone is just your way of showing how much you really like them) I'm proud to offer the following as my yearly photoshop theme birthday contribution. I now present to you:

Of course, I have to put my spin on it. Here's how I'd like to see the movie posters of various films and some information on each movie that would have got my butt in the seat.

So sit back, grab your popcorn and soda and maybe some Junior Mints, and enjoy our "Now Showing" Films.
