It's officially summer, so we need hot, sweaty Dave pics. (It's an excuse, I know..) So feast your eyes on THESE . From his Nirvana days-Live! Tonight! Sold Out!! pics.

If you're lucky enough to be in Los Angeles, CA. on July 6, you can catch Davie playing drums for Tenacious D at the Henry Fonda Theater in support for democratic Presidential candidate John Kerry .

Ok.. stick a fork in me.. I'm done.

Why are you searching all over the Internet when you know we're gonna have it here first?

Rolling Stone Issue 952/953 Dated July 8-22, 2004 with Mr Ray Charles (RIP) on the front cover has a lovely picture of Dave shakin' his boo-taaay.. or actually more like just rocking out at Rock in Rio along with a little article.

You'd better recognize! And check back through the weekend, I might have more stuff for you.

Well, I've been promising, and promising and still haven't delivered, but it will be well worth the wait..

In the meantime, all of the 'Bands' are updated with the exception of Rye Coalition.. we're trying to work some magic there.

Honestly, I swear we're working on updating the site. I'm on a deadline at my job and Rival is graduating from college this week so when we find five min. we're gonna turn this mother out.

Stay Tuned!

Small update tonight. I just wanted to wish my best friend Star (moderator at the message board) a very Happy Birthday. I love ya, girl.. and you look so good for 75. Seriously.

Added a few more pics to the Learn to Fly Video page and I swear to who ever is listening that is the LAST time I update that page. Good pics though.

Ice Cream and Cake. Red Beans and Cornbead. Bar-B-Que and beer. Dave Grohl and Courtney Love. Well, as you can see, some things go hand in hand together and some things.. well, as my friends over at Sesame Street would sing "One of these things is not like the other.." ..... All that for a few pics of Dave and Courtney fighting it out on Celebrity Deathmatch . (Dave won. Of course.)

I'll have more in a few days. We're redesigning the site as we speak and I want to save things for the big reveal. Rival the wonder-mod (also at our message board) is a freakin' GENIUS when it comes to html and so as someone very clever once said "That's right, kiddies......... your asses will be shred like documents in Martha Stewarts office, shredded like those new pork sandwiches at Subway, shredded like..... I dunno......like a big bag of shredded stuff. The stars have aligned, the tide is high, or as "Evil" said in the classic horror flick "Fright Night"........DINNER IS IN THE OVEN." Except this time it applies to our website and not an album.

Probot was featured in the top 100 Metal Moments on VH1. What number, you ask? Why, #50.. right smack dab between #51-Cynthia Plaster Caster and #49 Jon Bonham of Led Zeppelin taking a dump in a groupie's stiletto shoes. Dave's in great company. So here are the still shots of him discussing his Probot adventures.

There are a few things coming up on TV here in America featuring the Grohl-man. You can head over to our message board and click on the 'calendar' in the menu bar, and I've listed all of the info. Yes, I'll probably record it.. yes, it will probably end up here on the site. That's how much I love you people. Either that or that's how I have nothing else going on in my life at the moment *rim shot, crash*

One of those must-see TV moments is a Probot feature on Fuse on June 11 around 8pm EST and again at 3am EST.

Bored? "E" me: lisa@sweetparamania.com

As I was roaming through the site today, I realized that I had not put 'Cat Power' as one of the bands that Dave has contributed to. Then I started looking through the band section and felt bad about sort of neglecting that area of the site since it really is the reason we're all here... for the music that Dave makes. So I worked on that section this afternoon. Still not completely done, but it's getting there.

So, I updated Freak Baby , Mission Impossible , Dain Bramage , Scream , Buzz Osborne , Late! , Backbeat Soundtrack , Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers , Mike Watt , and Stinky Puffs . Hopefully in the next few days I can get the rest up. If anyone wants to contribute anything to the Band pages, please let me know. Dave, can you ever forgive me?

I also added a photo to the Learn To Fly Video Pics page.

While we're on the subject, I haven't even done the biography page on Dave, because I don't want the same ol' stuff, you know? Eh, I'll think of something.. maybe.

So I got another entry in my Guest Book thanks to the lovely Bonnie. PLEASE sign it and let me know what you think of the place.

RetroCrush.com has named Tenacious D's song 'Tribute' as one of the top 50 Song Moments of all time.. so you know what that means.. I had to get off of my ass and update the Tenacious D section of our board. Remember I said this was a work in progress so not all of the bands in the band section are completely finished. Good God, there are only so many hours in the day and when you're in 150 different bands because everyone wants you to play on their albums because you kick that much ass..I can't keep up sometimes. At any rate, you can check out that newly finished page and feel the power of the D. I've had the opportunity to see them live twice and they definitely rocked my socks off.

Sarah has once again set us up with what we're lacking... photo-wise that is. She's the master when it comes to video pictures. So here you go: QOTSA: No One Knows and Generator.

So guess what? We still haven't got our shit together, nor have we agreed upon a time to set aside to redesign things, so you know what that means for you... eye candy. Yep!

Believe me, you guys are gonna thank me for these.

Anyone catch the Andy Dick show a while back? Genius it was. (Not Andy Dick; the fact that they had Dave on the show). I mean, anytime you can get Dave to ask a girl on camera, "So, you wanna... get drunk and fuck?" - well, that's Hollywood Gold in my book! You couldn't write a better script.. and you know what? I bet he Ad-libbed! GENIUS I tell you, GENIUS! Notice the hair too. Ooooo yeah, baby... that's how I like it.

And oh yeah, I got another entry in my guest book... from Veronica. See? Her name up in lights.. simple as that.

So enjoy your Friday. I'll be around. "E" me if you want: lisa@sweetparamania.com and give me suggestions or just praise the hell out of me. I delete all negative e mail.

But seriously, if this wasn't a Dave site, and you didn't know that he used to wear his hair like that.. well, you might have believed me!

So click on the picture to take your silly self over to our 'Way back in time' page otherwise known as screen caps from the video '1991-The Year Punk Broke'. See, when you're young and never ever think that you'll ever be as famous as you are like 13 yrs down the road, well, you do silly things on film that comes back to bite you in the ass. Calm down, we're not talking Paris Hilton like. We're talking things like: getting Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth to apply make up to your face; going over all of the food items spread out before you on a table backstage (didn't we see that again on the Foo/RHCP tour/MTV 1515 Report?!) and doing a really bad French impression while declaring your love for grapes, followed by making out with Krist Novoselic. Ahhh, life on the road... you make your own fun.

Also have some photos from the little show that Foo did before the big show that they did in Portugal. A little show at a little place called 'Paradise Garage'. I think you look good, Dave. It's nice to see you with a little meat on your bones.

Oh, and I want to mention that we now have a link up for FooArchive.Com . Please, PLEASE go to that website now.. it's like my favorite place online and I mean that with all honesty, no joking around. Those guys have a hell of a website and you can find anything there on Dave and the boys.

I begged and pleaded and got ONE entry in my guest book (thanks Lisa). What do I have to do for two?

Well, this update will have to last you kiddies for a few days. I gotta take a breather. That's computer talk for we're talking about re-designing the place and we need to get our shit together. I know, I know.. you'll miss us while we're away, but we're thinking of you, because we loooooove you. *Mu-ah!* (This of course will not apply if in fact Dave makes appearances somewhere and we need to put photgraphical proof up).

June 1, 2004

Happy June, everyone! Damn, I can't believe the year is almost half over.

We're entering in to our second month online in the next few days and honestly, I'm very happy with the way this website has picked up. Thanks to everyone for visiting and for taking the time to check us out. Sign up at our message board and start talking!

Please sign the Guest Book over there to your left as well. I have like four lousy entries. (No offense to anyone who HAS signed).

Since it IS a new month, the month of May news updates are now in the archives , also over there to the left. You can get caught up through that.

So.. what does Leecy have today to satisfy your Dave craving? Well, they're not of the best quality, but it's still Dave. How about a few screen caps of a teen-aged David playing drums at a High School function? Look, don't blame me for the shitty quality, I did the best that I could, but modern technology has only come so far; not to mention I'm not the brightest bulb when it comes to figuring this stuff out. Just pretend to like them and we'll all be ok.

I also updated the Nirvana page in the Bands section. Honestly though, how do you even begin to talk about that band? I will never be able to do it the justice it deserves. Forgive me.

Just a friendly reminder: If you want to link to the site, or want to contribute or just need to cyber (kidding about that last part), then e mail me: lisa@sweetparamania.com
