Pics from RollingStone.com of Dave at the Rosemont show. Enjoy....
If I don't get a chance to update on Sunday (October 30), here's an early Happy Birthday to my best friend (and fellow Scorpio) in the
whole wide world, Claudia. You're 17 days older than me .. but it's ok, you're still pretty. (Personal joke). I love you, and I'm thankful
for you, you silly German girl. :-p

Foo Fighters performed with Kris Kristofferson for "I Walk the Line / A Night for Johnny Cash" on Monday, October 24, 2005. The taped show
will air on November 16 (my 35th Birthday!) on CBS here in the states. You can check out some photos from the event here.

I got an e mail this morning from John, who just happened to be in the front row at the Bridgeport, CT. Foozer show and took these
amazing photos of Dave. Thanks so much, John for sharing these with everyone. Looks like it was a great show!
If anyone has any photos they would like hosted, I will be more than happy to do it for you.

GrooveBolt.Com is reporting that Queens of the Stoneage are releasing a new DVD on November 22 with a lot of Dr. G footage.
You can read about it HERE.
I updated some of the older sections of the site. 'Tour Posters' now has a couple of new posters added and I got a better quality
picture of Dave in the 8th grade (because this is so relevant to his musical career).
I added a few more things to the site, but you'll have to search them out... just some various things here and there.
Here's where I need to get on my soapbox for about two minutes. There's a guy (or girl) on eBay selling Studio 606 guitar picks
and using links to my website to promote it. I don't appreciate it because this website was not made for others to use to make a
profit off of it. I don't make any money here and I want to keep it that way. Every dime it takes to run this site comes out of my pocket
so for someone to just link to it like that is not cool. He/She didn't even bother to e mail me to ask if it would be ok, they just did it.
The link has now been taken down at my request, and I would appreciate anyone letting me know about similar situations in the future.
I guess that's all I have for now. Have a great weekend!

Spin Magazine (October 2005 issue) has a nice little article with Krist Novoselic discussing Dave. If you have a chance, pick a copy up
because there are some really good interviews from '20 Greatest Innovators of the Past 20 Years' (according to Spin). There's also a Q&A with
Ian MacKaye which is kind of rare.
If you are a member of "MySpace", well, so are we! Click our new little icon up there on the right. (Thanks to 'Blackbird' on our forum
for making that for me!)
In case you didn't know, our message forum is up and running so head over there to chat.....
I think that's all I have for now.

You know it's bad when you go to work and your boss leaves you a copy of Entertainment Weekly with a Post-It Note saying 'check out page 91'.
Then you open it up and you both giggle and say things probably not suited for the work place. Anyway, thank you Kristy for that nice little
break from reality. (Incidentally, this issue is about the The Year's Best Celebrity Photos).

So I was being a good friend and trying not to bother Miss Rival as she was vacationing in lovely California but as soon as she left,
our forum went DOWN. I finally caved a few days ago and text messaged her and begged for her help. Luckily she had all ready returned and
she and her brother Scott went to work on bringing it back up. Long story short, I could have had the damn thing fixed if I had just bothered
to contact my hosting company. (For any of you who claim to be regulars around here, you know our history with our hosting company...
those bastards..) Funny thing is though that for a few days they claimed that it wasn't their problem or wasn't something that they could fix
(*yawn, I've heard this story before*) and that I needed to re-install my forum etc. etc. Today around lunch time, as I was enjoying my tuna
fish on wheat, I get a lovely e mail from those hosting type guys "Oh, your board is fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I say we all deserve a look at THESE for the pain and suffering that we have endured these three weeks.
Rolling Stone Issue # 985 with Sir Paul McCartney on the cover has a little article about "In Your Honor" and how it's copy protected
and giving people fits with their iPods.
And last (but certainly not least) I want to point you in the general direction of the best Chris Shiflett website out there.
Shifty Is Nifty.com . We're proud to call them a sister site. ..... brother site? Ok, it's another great site ran by another great group
of girls. I'm going to add them to our links page and I insist that you get all your Chris news there. *I have spoken*.
Catch you 'tards later...
