Oh yeah, this Twitter thing? It's off the chain. I'm starting to kind of like it.
So I'm sure you know that Dave is in Tokyo for a couple of shows with Them Crooked Vultures (which reminds me, I hope my dear friend Megumi will be there & I need to e mail her)
This shows up on Twitter this morning from @DGrohl :
Now supposedly this is a photo of Tokyo, but I honestly can't see anything other than the reflection in the window. If you actually end up spotting this "Tokyo" that's supposed to be in the photo, let me know. @sweetparamania

*NERD ALERT* *NERD ALERT* *NERD ALERT* *NERD ALERT*
Remember that guy - you know - the one that said that Twitter was a big fucking waste of time & if people would pull their heads out of their Twitter asses (I'm paraphrasing) and accomplish something blah blah blah...
Well, guess who has been spamming us all for the past few days with photos of in-studio happenings and demo recordings?? @DGrohl that's who.
It started off with this tweet: "Dear Twitter, I take back everything I said before. I didn't have a new album to promote. Love, Dave" and then some photos were posted. Yesterday, (Wednesday) we got this: "Demos almost complete.........countdown to FF7 session begins.......the wait is almost over. More to follow...."
Now, I admit I am not the biggest fan of Twitter, but I recognize it's place in quickly getting information out to the masses, and if used correctly, it can be a good thing. So I'm slowly coming around to not completely hating it and after the past few days, I might even be excited a bit to log on.
I gotta say -I was totally all about Them Crooked Vultures, and I still am, but suddenly I'm completely excited about Foo Fighters (@foofighters) 7th album!! REALLY excited!! Don't take that the wrong way. I've been a fan of Foo Fighters since the very beginning, but I'm really a Fan-Girl just geeking out all day long at the thought of Foo Fighters now.
Also, I should thank Dave because my Twitter account (@sweetparamania) has now doubled with followers thanks to all of this. I think it's totally cool that you guys come to me for confirmation of all things Dave, but I can't say 100% that the @DGrohl account belongs to him, but I'd probably put good money on it that it is. Please don't let that discourage you from asking me. I might occasionally be able to verify something. I just can't on this.

Videos like this remind me of why I adore Dave so much. No one has ever rocked the tamborine quite as well as Dave. Rock on, Davie G., rock on. I love it.
