I'm really sorry about not updating sooner. More in a bit. First:

Tim Heslin, who I believe is with Sony/BMG (don't quote me on that), e mailed this afternoon with the following information and asked that I let you know about it:

"I am working on Slash's new album, and Dave Grohl has a callaboration on one song. The album, called Slash, is in stores next Tuesday, April 6th. The song is called "Watch This" and also features Duff McKagan.

So definitely check that out. I believe that date is for the United States so it might actually be out on Monday in other countries.

So just an update to let you know what happened. Basically I had an external hard drive with my entire LIFE saved to it and sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning a couple of weeks ago, it failed. It failed miserably. I lost everything. The good news is that for the most part I had most everything saved on DVDs or CDs. Things I had not saved: Them Crooked Vultures. Lucky for me some were stored on my camera still (Thank You LeAnn for reminding me to check) and some were obviously up on this website. So I've been in a huge panic trying to grab things here and there to somewhat return my files back to normal. The website files are always ok because they are uploaded to a server and I always keep an extra copy around.

The thing that hurt the most was a huge amount of my Family Tree / Genealogy research is gone. I had recently uncovered a huge amount of information on my father's side of the family with photos etc. etc. and though I can still find that information online like I did before, it's just going to take a lot of time to recover.

It's all my fault for not backing the stuff up. So my advice to you: if you have ANYTHING in the way of photos, files, etc. BACK IT UP on something like a CD or an online file system for recovery. Don't make the same mistake I did assuming it would just be there. The hard drive was less than a year old.

Thanks to everyone who lived through the panic with me and donated jillions (and I mean jillions) of Dave related photos. You guys are nuttier than me. Thanks especially to Karina and her friends who sent a ton of photos and some I'd never even seen before. I really appreciate how much you guys care about the website and it's nice to have so many friends out there.

So once I really get everything in order I promise to have a much better update. I have photos from Royal Albert Hall/TCV that James sent in so I'll get them posted as well as a few other things. Thanks for your understanding and patience. Oh yeah, and back your shit up.

See you guys in a couple of weeks in Las Vegas.

This one's for Dave. God love him.

It's funny in that Chinese water torture sort of way.. a few minutes in and you're giggling hysterically but only because you're insane at that point.

I apologize for the lack of updates. To quote a certain someone, "Real life is so hard".

So if you've been living under a rock, you haven't seen this video which, if I do say so myself, is genius.

I'm throwing down the gauntlet and officially challenging Dave to a Coffee-off. You're going down, Dave. I laugh at your 5 fresh pots a day. I'm an ex-Texan who moved to New England. Drinking coffee all day long is the only way I know how to survive the long winters here.

We'll get Dunkin Donuts to sponsor (none of that fruity Starbucks crap) and there will be a few rules as well. No burping which means I win automatically and also I require 1 Mini-Moo creamer per cup. Maybe a sweet & low rather than sugar. We'll do a pay-per-view and just sit around and drink coffee all day. We can sort out the other details if needed.

Not sure Dave will accept my challenge - he hasn't accepted that Chess challenge that was issued towards him over at the Foo Fighters board a few years ago so you know... I'll just go ahead and declare myself winner of the Coffee-off. I will be at the TCV Vegas show so maybe I'll run into Dave at which time I'll be a humble winner and buy him a cup of coffee. Or maybe we'll hold the Coffee-off there.

Alright, on to other things....

Dave was a presenter at the 25th Annual Film Independent Spirit Awards and honestly, I don't know what that is so forgive me. You can see some of the photos HERE. Thanks to our friend Caro who sent those over!

I like to call this one "Feeling no pain". Ha ha! Good times.

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, Butch Vig will be producing the next Foo Fighters Album. You can read the article HERE.

Exciting, yes... but I'm still loving Them Crooked Vultures at the moment and will be sad if they go away. *frown face*

Also, is this where I put in a request for a B-side? I would be a super duper happy girl if we got a cover of Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't It Be Good" because it's one of my favorite 80s tunes and I'd love a version of Dave singing it. :-)

Our friend Karina, who runs a Foo Fighters Brazil fan network on Orkut, sent over these photos of her friends with Dave. These were taken back in 2008 in Los Angeles and Karina says that the sign says "To all people from official Foo Fighters community."

I'll put these on the 'Dave with his Fans' page. If you have your photo taken with Dave, send it to me and I'll add it to the group.

Also, a little bit of a disclaimer for everyone. Please don't waste your time (and mine) sending me links to the celebrity baby blogs online with paparazzi photos of Dave with his family. I'm not going to post those photos here. Those sites creep me out anyway and if you want gossip rag then I guess it's a good thing those sites exist for you. This place is a site about Dave and what he does professionally (like coffee drinking), not personally.

Seriously. Coffee-off 2010.

Normally I wouldn't bother you with this sort of silliness, but it seems some how, some way I lost a bet with my BFF Claudia - so at her request I am posting the following video. If anyone in the world knows anything about being silly, it's Claudia. So I hope you find it humorous and I'm still trying to decide if this is some big joke or something. Dude's got some skills obviously, but it just seems.. I don't know, too over the top to be real.

I'd also like to add that the 'No shit, sherlock' award goes to the announcer around 2:25 or so with "This is Nirvana...not a group you would normally hear in ice skating.." remark.

Have a great weekend!

Happy March. Can we get some better weather, please? I'm sick of winter.

Dave was at Milk & Bookies last night which is a literacy awareness event held in Los Angeles. Here are a few photos of him. They're watermarked, but you get the idea. The funny thing is that the AP tagged him as "Actor Dave Grohl" so I guess that whole Saturday Night Live skit thing is really working out for him ... you know, in case that music career doesn't pan out.

Thanks to Karina & Caro for these

I got a lot of e mails & "tweets" from you kids asking me about THIS. Generally everyone was trying to figure out if they should somehow get out to The Echo to see Dave perform with SCREAM again. Fear not, Dave was not on drums last night. This is the original line up for SCREAM and if you remember, Dave was not an original member. Here's where this gets interesting (for me at least). The group that opened up for SCREAM last night - The Holloys - had a guitarist by the name of Jon Gonnelli...also guitarist for Rye Coalition and currently The Black Hollies.. and he just so happens to be a really good friend of mine too so I wrote Jon last night and he assured me that this is the original line up and also I guess two of the members of The Holloys are really old friends with Pete and Franz Stahl and if you don't know who they are, well then you need to do your Dave Grohl homework...and I'm very disappointed in you.

Thanks, Jon. ;-)
