Hi Everyone,

So believe it or not, this month marks 5 years that we have been online. Happy Birthday to us!

I've been wanting to update the site sooner, but I just had my wisdom teeth removed and have not had the desire to do more than sleep and take these awesome pills which enable me to see the prettiest colors.... but I digress.

When I started this website five years ago, it never occurred to me that it would be online five years later or that anyone would ever even want to spend five minutes looking at it. You see, it started off as a project because I wanted to go back to school to learn web design. I wanted a website of my own to "practice" on before starting classes and I wanted it to be on a topic that I knew a little bit about and also a topic that I would not grow tired of updating. I was surprised that there weren't any fan sites out there really dedicated to Dave so that's how I decided to make the site. The fact that it has grown in to this monster and that it seems you all genuinely enjoy it is the cherry on top of the cake. Over the past five years it has gone under quite a few redesigns, the most recent being last year. I think I'm finally happy with the way that it looks.

The only "regret" I have is that I wish I had named the site 'EnoughSpace.com'. Don't get me wrong, the current name is awesome; it's just difficult giving out my e-mail address at times and having to always spell 'paramania' and also the inevitable definition or meaning of it as well. I guess that just goes to show that I never thought it would amount to much. I was wrong.

Many, many great things have happened because of this site. I've made friends from all over the world, traveled to many Foo Fighters' shows (Los Angeles opening for The Police, Madison Square Garden, Seattle, WA. and Atlantic City, NJ), met Dave himself (who couldn't have been any kinder to me and I mean that from the bottom of my heart) and have formed a great friendship with a group of guys from New Jersey who had their album produced by Dave. In a nutshell, I have been one lucky little girl and I am blown away by all of your e-mails and messages to me throughout the years thanking ME when I really should be thanking everyone else. Without your contributions and enthusiasm, there really wouldn't be much of a site.

I could probably spend the next five years talking about all of the great things that have gone on because of this site, but I'll keep it somewhat short here.

So thank you everyone for contributing, e-mailing, designing and creating those fantastic birthday book contributions and just for visiting! This site belongs to everyone as evidenced by the photos, wallpapers, artwork etc. donated by you.

I'm not sure what's in store for the future - I just know that we'll be around and that a part of me is thinking of venturing over to Europe if/when the next Foo Fighters tour happens. If a dream like that comes true for me, I would be thrilled to meet any and all of you from across the pond that I've had the pleasure of speaking to the past few years. Be sure to clean off the couch as I might need a place to crash my American ass.
